		<description><![CDATA[This could indeed be the year that &quot;privacy&quot; goes mainstream. At the closing of the WSJ&#039;s Data Transparency event in NYC last weekend, Julia Angwin reframed the &quot;privacy&quot; discussion to be more generally about &quot;freedom&quot;.

This resonates with a majority of the key players currently working in this space. Behavioural advertising and third party tracking is worrysome. Warrantless wiretapping and indefinite detention without charge even more so. Both developments seem to be evolving out of the same flagrant disregard for liberty that prevails in the US presently.]]></description>
